The Tewksbury Water Division has been coordinating replacement of Meter Transmission Units (MTUs) in various parts of Town. This program began in November of 2024. MTUs are being replaced by both Water Division Staff and a contractor (Hydro Utilities). Notices have been sent out to residents on numerous occasions to make them aware of the program and provide them with guidance as well as information on how to schedule an appointment. If you are receiving a final notice stating “Mandatory Action Needed” then you have received two prior notices. It is important to have these MTUs replaced in order to ensure the accuracy of the utility billing process. Please contact the DPW at (978) 640-4440 with any questions.
