Foster Park Conservation Area

Foster Park

On July 18, 1960 Herbert L. Foster and Ida R. Foster deeded to the inhabitants of Tewksbury this 23 acre parcel ‘upon the express condition and subject to the restriction that the land is forever to be used only as a park and playground and only for outdoor activities.’ This gift left for the residents of Tewksbury is located on the Shawsheen River and is a great location to enjoy kayaking, hiking, fishing, and birdwatching. From a nature perspective, the parcel is primarily a dense pine forest that overlooks the convergence of Content Brook and the Shawsheen River.
