Market Basket Trip Fridays:  2 Market Basket trips available Friday mornings.  You will be assigned to Stadium or Oakdale plaza based on the location of your home address.  Strict 2 bag limit, must be able to carry your own groceries.

Long Distarnce Medical Appointments:  Ex: trips to Boston, with the help of our friends at the Dracut COA.  Cost varies based on destination.  Appointments should be made between 11am and 1pm.  (Will require a 1 month notice).

Call the Transportation Line to schedule your trip 978-640-4480 ext. 292.  Leave a detailed message and someone will call back to schedule your time.  Please request rides with a minimum of a 2 day notice.

Transportation service is “curb-to-curb”,  meaning riders must be mobile and have the ability to walk/propel to the van when parked street-side.  The driver cannot offer “hands-on” assistance, however a personal assistant may accompany a rider should he/she require help.  Companions ride free of charge.  Due to increase demand 3 incidents, including  cancellations, without sufficient notice, will result in termination of transportation privileges.

LRTA Road Runner Services

Road Runner is a curb-to-curb service available to residents of Tewksbury who are at least 60 years of age and/or individuals who are disabled. This service can be used for many purposes, including work, medical appointments, shopping, social and recreational reasons. The fee to travel within town is $1.00 each way.

Riders may also ride out-of-town for a fee of $1.50 each way to locations within the service area, including:  Billerica, Chelmsford, Lowell, and Wilmington for Medical Appointments.

On Wednesdays, the Road  Runner Service makes a trip to the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Bedford VA and to Boston area hospitals. The cost is $25 for a round trip.  The service has pick ups between 8 and 9 AM and returns at 1PM.
