Pringle Street at Collins Brook Culvert Replacement Project

Project NumberPringleStreetCulvert1

PW-21-06

Project Description

This project involves the design and replacement of an existing 3’-3” wide x 2’-3” height elliptical corrugated metal pipe culvert which crosses beneath Pringle Street at Collins Brook.  The Town of Tewksbury’s consulting engineer, Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB), is designing a new culvert to replace this existing culvert.  The existing culvert is corroded and partially crushed, and the outlet of the culvert is perched.  These issues can limit the capacity of the culvert to convey flows which can lead to potential flooding upstream of this culvert.
