Foster Park Conservation Area

Foster ParkOn July 18, 1960, Herbert L. Foster and Ida R. Foster deeded to the inhabitants of Tewksbury this 23-acre parcel 'upon the express condition and subject to the restriction that the land is forever to be used only as a park and playground and only for outdoor activities.' This gift left for the residents of Tewksbury is located on the Shawsheen River and is a great location to enjoy kayaking, hiking, fishing, and birdwatching. From a nature perspective, the parcel is primarily a dense pine forest that overlooks the convergence of Content Brook and the Shawsheen River.
