Illegal Possession of a Firearm / Drug Distribution Arrest
On February 12, 2018, the Tewksbury Police Department arrested the following individuals;
Jimmie Lee Bynum Jr., 23, of 4 Fifth St. Apt. #2, Lowell, MA for possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, carrying a loaded firearm without a license (subsequent offense), commission of a felony while armed with a firearm, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of ammunition without an FID card (subsequent offense), intimidation of a witness, and possession with intent to distribute a class e substance (alprazolam).
Anthony Mancuso Jr., 21, of 141 Cumberland Rd. Apt. #2, Lowell, MA for possession with intent to distribute a class e substance (alprazolam).
Detectives were conducting surveillance in the area of Burger King at 85 Main St. and surrounding business parking lots for possible drug activity. Upon further investigation, detectives interrupted a drug transaction, which led to the seizure of a loaded firearm with a defaced serial number, large capacity magazine, 25 alprazolam pills, and $1388.00 in cash.
Jimmie Lee Bynum Jr. and Anthony Mancuso Jr. are due to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on February 13, 2018.
